The Best Night Sights For Glock 19

The Glock 19 is one of the most popular pistols in the world. The reduced length compared to full sized Glocks makes the Glock 19 a great conventional service pistol as well as a concealed carry option.

It even comes with a standard 15 round magazine to add to its appeal. The only real downfall of the Glock 19 is its factory sights. Replacing your factory sights is one of the easiest ways to upgrade this exceptional pistol.

What are The Best Glock 19 Night Sights?

1. Trijicon HD Night Sights

If you’re looking for the absolute best you need to buy a set of Trijicon sights. Trijicon is known for making high quality sights that are extremely bright.

You can find Trijicon sights for just about any pistol you can think of. Through sheer volume they are able to dominate the industry by designing some of the best sights available. Very few companies even come close to competing with these Trijicon’s.

If your Glock 19 is your everyday carry pistol you really do need to buy these Trijicon night sights. When your life is on the line the slight difference in price isn’t worth buying an inferior sight.

Trijicon sights are simply the best designed sights on the market. They come in a wide variety of colors to suit your own personal tastes. I personally like to choose the orange sights because I do a lot of winter shooting. Shooting off my back porch into the snow is a lot easier with orange sights.

Trijicon sights work exceptionally well in low light conditions. You’ll easily be able to see both the front and rear posts  in even the darkest room. Trijicon sights use a truly snag free design not seen in cheaper products.  All of their products are designed specifically for each firearm.

Lower overall production numbers mean a higher price tag, but a more custom fit.  A snag free design really aids in the durability of these sights. A pair of Trijicon Night Sights should last you a very long time. At least as long as the 20 year guaranteed life of tritium.

Some people complain that the Trijicon sights dig into their side, but I’ve never experienced that problem. I’m a little over 6ft and 250 lbs and I’ve never experienced any issues with these sights.

I’m definitely not skinny and I don’t have a problem, so if you have an issue with these you’ll probably have problems with any sight. When you need the absolute best you’re going to want to buy the Trijicon HD Night Sights.

2. Truglo Tritium Night Sights

If there is one major competitor to the Trijicon sights it would be Tru Glo. Tru Glo sights have been around for a while in the firearm industry. Millions of people swear by Tru Glo sights and they do offer an exceptional product. Most of the time Tru Glo’s are a little less expensive than the Trijicon’s and offer a very similar experience.

TruGlo’s Brite-Site TFX Pro is another great sight to pair with your Glock. The TruGlo sight is comparable to the Trijicon both in price and durability. The biggest difference between these two sights is the design options.

The Tru Glo sights combine the benefits of a tritium sight with the daylight function of a traditional orange 3 sight picture. Unlike some of the other sights on the market the Tru Glo looks the same both day and night.

You will have a bright and clear sight picture regardless of the rooms brightness. Using some of the brightest Tritium on the market these sites should last a very long time.

Like the Trijicon’s, these sights use a snag free design.  With rounded edges you won’t have any issues snagging on your belt or holster. Completely encased by a saphire tube, you won’t have to worry about damage.

3. Glock Factory OEM Night Sights

It’s not a surprise that Glock actually makes a decent set of Night Sights. Most people who want OEM Sights buy them with their gun, but you can also order a set directly from Glock.

You will pay a slight premium ordering them after the fact, but they are much nicer than the standard Glock sights. Through years of testing Glock manufactures some very nice sights.

The best thing about the Glock factory night sights is their profile. Glock uses a completely snag free design that is more functional than most of the competitors. Trijicon is the only other manufacturer that makes smoother sights.

With these Factory Glock sights you shouldn’t have a lot of holster wear and tear. You won’t have to worry about them getting damaged or losing their intensity.

Glock sights use a white contrasting dot for daytime visibility and a green glow in low light situations. They are rated to maintain their glowing properties for 20 years and come with a competitive warranty.

If you are looking for a high quality set of sights look no farther than these fantastic OEM sights.

 4. Meprolight Tritium Night Sights

Meprolight’s Glock Tru-Dot Night Sight is another great option for you Glock 19. Meprolight has been in the night sight game for years and they make a ton of great sights.

They actually have contracts with a number of firearm manufacturers to produce OEM sights. These Meprolight sights are actually very similar to the Glock OEM sights. It’s hard to say for certain but they look like they were produced in the same factory.

The Meprolight Night Sights are nearly identical to the factory Glock sights I listed above. The only major difference between these two night sights is the branding.

Personally I can’t stand the branding on the Meprolight sights. I just think it looks cheap compared to the other sights. This probably wouldn’t bother most people, but I personally prefer the Glock OEM sights. If you don’t mind the look of these Meprolight sights you might as well save a few bucks. These Meprolight night sights perform way above their price range.

5. Ameriglo 3 Dot Tritium Sights

Ameriglo sights are another budget option for your Glock.  With its low price and durable design Ameriglo sights are an excellent option if you want to save a little cash.

I actually really like this set of Ameriglo Night Sights. They are very easy to see in both daylight and nighttime. With only a couple minutes of light to charge they have a very bright glow.

The actual sight picture is as close to the Trijicon’s as you are going to get. You will be able to easily make out your target in just about every situation. The biggest downside to these Ameriglo sights is their design.

They use more of a boxy design which tends to rub on holsters and snag on clothes. This is a huge detriment for any service pistol or EDC gun. If you can’t afford more expensive sights or don’t plan on carrying your Glock everyday Ameriglo sights are a great budget option.

Final Verdict

Personally I don’t think there’s any comparison between these 5 Sights. If you have the extra money buy the Trijicon Night Sights. They come in a wide variety of colors and offer the overall best sight picture. In a close race the Tru Glo Sights are a more affordable option. If you are looking for a budget option you can’t go wrong with the Glock OEM Sights, Meprolight Sights or Ameriglo Sights.
