The Marlin Model 60 is one of the most popular .22 caliber rifles in history. It’s been around for over 50 years and is still holding it’s own. The lightweight design and accurate barrel make it fun for the whole family. I might have been able to shoot tin with iron sights when I was a child, but as time goes on some of us need a good set of optics. Paired with a mid range scope it’s one hell of a plinking rifle.

What is The Best Scope For Marlin Model 60?

It really doesn’t take a lot of money to find a high quality scope for a plinking rifle. Since the Marlin fires the .22LR round you won’t need a big budget scope. You’re going to need to find a compact scope with decent magnification.

Due to its lightweight design you’re going to need to find a very lightweight scope. You won’t need a lot of magnification while shooting a 22LR rifle. The relatively short ballistic properties of the 22LR round means that you should stay with 3-9x magnification or less.
