The basic task of buying a compound bow is extremely difficult if you are just getting into archery. With all of the different options out there it’s extremely hard to find a bow that will grow with you as a hunter. With all of the different brands and models on the market choosing your first bow is a mind numbing endeavor. You need to find a bow that’s both easy to learn on and will last many years of hunting.

Most novice archers are looking for a moderately compound bow that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. You might not get all the fancy features found on the most expensive compound bows, it will still perform well and shoot accurately. Each of these compound bows are constructed of high quality materials and built to last many years of hunting

The Bear Archery Cruzer G2 is a great compound bow for the price. Bear Archery’s Cruzer G2 is a little on the upper end of our budget compound bow list, but it’s worth mentioning. It’s the perfect bow for both young hunters and adults. This maximum-versatility bow is engineered for all ages and skill levels. You won’t outgrow the Cruzer G2 any time soon. You can adjust the draw length and weight so that anyone can use this bow. Adjust the draw length from 12″-30″ and weight from 5-70 lbs. All adjustments can be made using an allen wrench. You don’t even need to use a bow press. You can use the same bow from your 5 year old birthday to your 50th.

Bear Archery uses many advanced features that aren’t often found on moderately priced scopes. The advanced grip design completely eliminates hand torque for a comfortable archery session. A compound bow pulling back on your wrist will significantly reduce accuracy. This package comes with almost everything the first time hunter needs. It includes a sight, whisker biscuit, quiver, stabilizer, sling, peep sight and a nock loop. All you’ll need to do is buy some high quality arrows. When adjusted properly the Bear Archery trademarked endurafiber limbs will allow you to shoot up to 315 FPS. They offer lethal controlled power, while the Rockstops offset string suppressor eliminates noise and vibration. Weighing only 3 lbs you won’t be lugging around more weight than you can handle. Cruzer G2 has an extremely smooth draw cycle with a 70% Let off. It’s comparable to much more expensive bows. The Bear Archery Cruzer G2 can handle whatever adventure comes your way.

The Fleetwood Archery Envoy 2 is another budget compound bow option. With the Envoy 2 you get a lot of bow for the price. This state of the art compound bow is perfect for both entry level and experiened archers. It’s a little less adjustable than the above Bear Archery bow, but that would only affect extremely young archers. Envoy 2 is adjustable from 17″-30″ with a draw weight of 20lbs to 70lbs. So it’s the perfect draw for most people 7 years old to adult hood. Unless you get seriously into competitive archery you will likely never outgrow this bow. There are a lot of color options available including black, Next G1 Vista Camo and Muddy Girl. Personally I think the traditional camo bow looks the best. The kit includes a Brush Style Rest, 5 pin fiber optic sight with light stabilizer, 1/4″ peep sight and D-Loop.

The Envoy 2 really is an incredible bow available at an affordable price point. You get very sturdy construction featuring a wide range of draw length and poundage adjustments, an aluminum riser, Gordon Glass Limbs, and Aircraft grade aluminum alloy cams. It’s built to be both light and powerful weighing in at 3.7 lbs. You’ll find that the cams are easy to adjust and extremely powerful. Fleetwood even recommends that you choose arrows that are one spine heavier than normal. It’s hard to tell if this is a marketing ploy, but it’s a bold statement nonetheless. If you combine those features with the D97 string and cables you get an advertised speed of 311 fps. The versatility of draw length and weight combined with the sturdy construction makes this compound bow hard to resist.

The Diamond Archery Infinite Edge Pro really looks and feels like a professional compound bow. As one of the more expensive bows on this list the infinite edge pro bow packs a serious punch. You’ll be able to hit your mark at speeds over 310 fps. With a draw length of 13″-31″ this bow is perfect for almost any archer. The extra 1″ draw is surprisingly helpful for men with longer draws. The redesigned cam system creates a flawlessly smooth draw cycle comparable to scopes that are much more expensive. The solid back wall gives you even more control over the competition. For even more stability diamond archery added an additional stabilizer for perfect balance, making the infinite pro edge ready for anything.

You can really notice the quality control that went into this bow. They really went all out when designing the new cams on this bow. The draw feels absolutely amazing compared to a lot of the cheaper models. Weighing in at a little over 3.2 lbs it isn’t the lightest bow on the market, but it’s respectable compared to the competition. With close to an 80% effective let-off the bow is very easy to hold your aim. You can also adjust the draw weight from 5-70lbs which is about average in this price range. You should seriously consider the Diamond Archery Infinite Edge Pro Bow.
